Is this a timeshare?
No. These are fee-simple, deeded hotel condominium residences, not timeshares. Each purchase conveys full ownership of a specific unit with registered title. There are no shared-use arrangements, points systems, or time-based occupancy limitations.
How much control do I really have?
Owners retain control over usage and participation in the rental programme. You may:
Use the residence personally
Participate in the optional rental programme
Combine personal use with rental activity
There is no obligation to rent, and no fixed usage schedule imposed by the hotel.
What happens when I’m not there?
When enrolled in the rental programme, the hotel’s professional management team handles bookings, guest services, housekeeping, and routine maintenance. This allows the residence to operate as an income-generating asset without requiring owner involvement. Owners may also elect to keep the unit off-market.
How complicated is buying in the BVI?
The British Virgin Islands has a well-established framework for foreign property ownership. International buyers are required to obtain a Landholding Licence, a standard process supported by local legal counsel. Once initiated, attorneys manage the licensing, closing, and title registration.
Will this actually rent?
